Things to do when in Toronto

From starchitect-designed museums to island getaways and funky neighborhoods, Toronto is a place that comes with ample sightseeing options. It is very overwhelming to know how much the city wants to show you. However, there are a few things you must consider doing, when in Toronto.

Some of the standard things include visiting the CN Tower, walking along the Harbour-Front centre, and going to Niagara Falls. The St. Lawrence Market, rated as the best urban market by National Geographic is also worth a visit. The neighborhood of this market booms with stores and restaurants.

Some of the other attractions like Ripley’s Aquarium is getting rave reviews. Located right next to the CN Tower, it is the new trending destination for tourists coming to Toronto. Toronto has some good museums too, that are well worth visiting. The Royal Ontario Museum, the Aga Khan Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Ontario Science Centre are some of the places for Museum lovers.

The Cathedral Church of St. James stands out as the oldest congregation in the city and was one of the largest buildings back in 1850. There is also a majestic castle in the middle of an upscale neighborhood right near Downtown Toronto which has been open to the public and offers tours of its grandeur architecture.
Some of the good parks include High Park (on the Bloor subway), Edwards Garden, Rouge river park in the far east end of Scarborough and Bluffers Park.

Niagara Falls: One of the natural wonders of the world Niagara Falls is less than two hours from Toronto.
Toronto Islands: Visitors can take the short, scenic ferry ride over to the Toronto Islands which provides a wonderful view of the city skyline. In addition to the multiple islands, there are beaches, picnic areas, sports facilities, canoe, kayak rentals and much more.

Ottawa and Montreal: Within easy striking distance are some of Canada’s top cities, including Ottawa and Montreal, just four to five hours away by car and easily accessible by train or short flights.
